Kyungmin and Ajin received their Doctor’s degree and graduated this winter!
They began their graduate studies in 2019, received their Master’s degree in our lab, and finally earned their doctoral degrees.

2025.12.22(월), 학교 주변 파티룸에서 2025 ASML 겨울 워크샵을 진행했습니다. 지난번 여름 워크샵 때와 같은 장소로, 한 해를 정리하며 서로의 근황을 공유하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
교수님께서 이번 학기에 졸업하시는 곽경민, 조아진 연구원님들에게 특별한 선물을 준비해주셔서 같이 축하하는 시간도 가졌습니다.
연구원들이 옷을 무지개색으로 맞춰 입고 와서, 재밌는 사진도 같이 찍었습니다.
서로 더 가까워지고 친해지는 시간이었습니다! 내년에도 ASML 파이팅입니다!
대기-해양 모델링 연구실에서 대학원생 연구원 및 학부 연구원을 모집합니다. 저희 연구실에서는 대기-해양 상호작용이라는 큰 연구주제 아래 수치모델 및 deep learning 기법을 활용하여 대기-해양 물질 및 에너지 교환, 기후변화, 계절예측, 해양생지화학 등의 분야에 걸처 폭넓은 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 현재 박사급 연구원 5명, 박사과정생 6명 석사과정생 1명이 긴밀하게 협력하며 연구를 진행하고 있어, 대학원생들은 수시로 박사급 연구원들의 가이던스를 받으며 연구할 수 있는 환경이 만들어져있습니다.
2025년 2학기를 맞아 언제나 웃음이 넘처나는 대기해양모델링에서 함께 연구할 수 있는 연구원을 모집하고 있습니다.
2025.08.28(목), 학교 주변 파티룸에서 2025 ASML 여름 워크샵을 진행했습니다. 연구실 홈페이지와 관련된 툴을 배우면서 github에 대해 이야기하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
이후에 교수님께서 준비해주신 수박을 먹으면서 서로의 근황에 대해 이야기했습니다.
밤에는 멋진 풍경을 배경으로 같이 단체 사진도 찍었습니다.
유익하고 서로에 대해 대화할 수 있어서 즐거웠던 워크샵이었습니다!
2025.07.28~08.01에 싱가포르 Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands Singapore에서 2025 AOGS가 열렸습니다. 저희 연구팀에서 송하준교수님과 김효정박사님, 조아진, 곽경민, 이준우 연구원이 참석하였습니다. 송하준 교수님께서는 ‘Observed multi-decadal increase in the surface ocean’s thermal inertia’, 조아진 연구원은 ‘Modulation of Typhoon Intencity by Current-Wind Interaction’, 곽경민 연구원은 ‘Modulation of Meridional Atmospheric Energy Transport by Ocean Coupling over the Northwest Pacific’, 이준우 연구원은 ‘Changes in Phytoplankton Composition Driven by TC-induced mixing’ 이라는 주제로 발표를 진행하였습니다.
2025.07.21~25에 부산 BEXCO에서 2025 BACO가 열렸습니다. 저희 연구팀에서 송하준교수님과 조아진, 김유진, 이준우 연구원이 참석하였습니다. 송하준 교수님께서는 ‘Observed multi-decadal increase in the surface ocean’s thermal inertia’, 조아진 연구원은 ‘Modulation of Typhoon Intencity by Current-Wind Interaction’, 김유진 연구원은 ‘Residual overturning circulation and associated water-mass transformation in the East/Japan Sea’, 이준우 연구원은 ‘Changes in Phytoplankton Composition Driven by TC-induced mixing’ 이라는 주제로 발표를 진행하였습니다. 학회 열기도 매우 뜨거웠었는데, 많은 연구원분들과 토론하며 의견을 나누는 시간을 가졌습니다.
2025.06.26~27에 부경대학교에서 2025 OASIS가 열렸습니다. 저희 연구팀에서 곽경민, 김유진 연구원이 참석하였습니다. 곽경민 연구원은 ‘Understanding Air-Sea CO2 Exchange in the North Pacific through a Hierarchical Modeling Approach’, 김유진 연구원은 ‘Residual Overturning Circulation and Associated Water-Mass Transformation in the East/Japan Sea’ 라는 주제로 구두 발표를 진행하였습니다. 그리고, 다양한 주제의 발표를 들으면서 연구에 대한 아이디어를 얻고 논의하는 의미있는 시간을 가졌습니다.
특히 김유진 연구원은 Best Oral Presentation Award (Director General’s Award, Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency) at the OASIS Conference 을 수상하였습니다.
저희 연구팀은 2025.03.27(목)~03.28(금)에 일본 나가사키에서 열린 ‘The 18th Japan-Korea Joint Seminar on Ocean Sciences’에 참석하였습니다.
최연주 박사님께서는 ‘Impact of Submesoscale Turbulence on Phytoplankton Growth Under Variable Surface Cooling Conditions’이라는 주제로, 조아진 연구원은 ‘Modulation Of Typhoon Intensity By Current-Wind Interaction’이라는 주제로, 이준우 연구원은 ‘Phytoplankton Diversity Responses to Tropical Cyclones’이라는 주제로, 선우효준 연구원은 ‘Mixing of top-down and bottom-up diffusing reactive tracers within the ocean mixed layer and its application to autumn phytoplankton blooms’이라는 주제로 발표하였습니다.
